We were built on the principle that relationships should be at the forefront of our business and we've always made the community's needs our primary focus. Our History

1922 The forerunner of our present Savings and Loan Association was organized in McMinnville as the American Savings and Loan Corporation.
1935 The American Savings and Loan Corporation made application for federalization and the name was changed to First Federal Savings and Loan Association of McMinnville.
1936 The Association was granted a certificate of insurance and became an insured institution through the FSLIC.
1937 First Federal Savings and Loan Association of McMinnville received its charter.
1972 The Newberg branch was established at 513 E. Hancock Street.
1973 The Sheridan branch was opened at 229 Bridge Street. The branch quickly outgrew the space.
1975 The McMinnville Home Office was originally located on the corner of Third and Evans when it moved to the present location at 118 NE Third Street.
1978 The Sheridan branch was moved to the current location at 246 Bridge Street.
1980 Amity and Carlton branches established. The Carlton branch was opened at the current location of 335 W Madison Street. The Amity branch was opened at the current location of 110 Maddox Street.
1997 The Newberg branch was relocated to the current location at 121 N Edwards Street
2001 Baker Creek branch established in McMinnville
2006 Friendsview branch established in Newberg's Friendsview Retirement Community
2008 Hillside branch established in McMinnville's Hillside Retirement Community
2015 First Federal expands eBanking and Loan products. Mobile Banking App, Mobile Check Deposit, Business Online Banking, Business ACH, Business Wires, Business Remote Deposit Capture and Commercial Lending.
2016 First Federal is rated 5-Star for financial strength by BauerFinancial, Inc., the nation's leading bank rating firm. BauerFinancial rates all banks and credit unions on a zero-to-five star scale with 5-stars being the strongest. First Federal can be found on Bauer's Recommended Bank Report.
